Default Stirrer or Stirrer Motor
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665.61612100
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a grinding sound come from my over the range hood microwave oven. The food heats, but the sound persisits and I'd like to fix it; get it fixed before it gets worse. I believe it is the stirrer or stirrer motor located in the ceiling of the appliance. Does anyone know how to access it? Do I need to remove the oven from the mounting brackets or can I remove (pry loose) the plastic part in the ceiling of the oven? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Regards, Ship84

You access the stirrer from the inside of the microwave.

There should be plastic rivet in the cover inside the oven cavity.

Here is a link to the parts of your microwave model 665.61612100.
