You should not run a microwave with nothing in it or it will spark.

Can you please verify your model number?

Is it arcing at the mica diffuser plate on the side of oven cavity, if so remove plate, clean area and order a new mica diffuser plate. If arcing is from the magnetron area it is probably the rf seal is bad, just replace it, it is under the magnetron.

You should be able to get the plate from any place that supplies Sharp parts.

You will need your full model number.
