Default Spare parts - where to buy?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JES1290ML
Age: 1 - 4 years

Microwave stopped working as soon as one-year warranty ended. Cool. I mean inside of oven.
Magnetron seems OK, diode is shot. It seems to be forgotten what a diode is meant for and behaves like an insulator. Capacitor seems alive. And the magnetron cap is badly burned.
The question: Can I buy somewhere that little copper cap? Hope I don't have to buy a new magnetron for that? I'm google-ing but none of keywords I tried brought up something useful.
Also, if somebody knows a great e-shop to order that diode, elaborating will be much appreciated here.

Thank you. Still have no clue where to find this little copper cap. Maybe I can keep the old burned one? Is this part important for magnetron to function properly?

OK, thanks to these forums I learned GE magnetrons have 10-year warranty.
I was thinking the HV diode is faulty. I knew an HV diode is actually a cascade of diods. Somehow I managed to forget I cannot check it with a multimeter because the voltage it uses for measuring is too low.
I called a local technician and he told me these diodes usually short (not open) and said probably the magnetron is shot.
He was right. Of course, GE refused to send me a spare magnetron. Dammit, I used to fix TV sets once upon time (15 kV !!) and now a mouse on the phone tells me I'm not qualified to handle 2 kV!
So I called our local technician again and they sent the magnetron to him, just picked up and installed it yesterday and my microwave is working as new.
