Default Spacemaker XL
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: EMO3000
Age: 1 - 4 years

Need help,,
My turntable does not rotate.
Dissasembled bottom of unit.
2 questions... 1. Is there supposed to be app. 21 vac on the input cable to the motor at all times. I can measure constant vac on the connector no matter if I have selected "turntable" or not?
2. Should the motor be turning if there is app. 21 vac supplied to it? In other words, I am trying to determine if I have a bad motor or the vac it not getting to the motor.

It seems to me that I should have NO vac to the motor until I select "turntable" from the front control panel.

How can I check the status of the motor>
ANy help would be apprecitated since I would like to fix this myself.

Mike

The motor for your microwave is a 21 volt AC motor.

If you have 21 volts to the motor and it will not run you have a bad motor.

If you have 21 volts all the time you may have a problem with the control board.

Here is a link to your microwave model EMO3000.

Here is the motor.
