Question Samsung oven blows monitor fuse - door switches OK
Brand: Other
Model Number: Samsung C100T
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi,

My Samsung C100T suddenly stopped working. One day I found it completly dead, without any explanation. I found that the small "monitor fuse" was blown, probably indicating that one of the door switches (three in my case) were broken or not working correctly.

However, I checked those (in place) and they are ok. I replaced the fuse, but it blowed again as soon as I applied the power (door closed).

Since I didn't powered on the magnetron, I don't believe that it could be short-circuited or anything else around it.

Any idea of what could be wrong ? I'm electronician (but not oven techician ) and can't find anything wrong. The control board seems to work perfectly when powered separetely.

Thanks for helping !

Matthieu, from Belgium

If the fuse is blowing as soon as you apply power to it you most definitely have a short some where.

If you leave the door opened and then plug it in after the fuse is replaced and the fuse does not blow you will know that it is in the door circuit.

Your wiring diagram should be in the cabinet of the microwave.
