Default Replacement Part-microwave
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KEMS306BAL0
Age: More than 10 years

One of the small plasitic/ceramic feet on KitchenAid KEMS306BAL0
part number 4312907 for my convention microwave lower rack broke (built in 1993). As a result, when using the microwave, I now get arcing with the rack resting on the lower pan.

When serching partselect and other parts sites, the lower rack (#30 in the parts diagram) comes up as NLA.

I am looking to replace the 1 foot that is broken.

Any suggestions on what I could use to replace the one foot as the oven is working just fine?

Mike

NLA means just that, No Longer Available.

You can try going into a local appliance store and look at the microwaves in there, see if you can find one that looks like it has a set of insulators you can use on yours or at least make work, then note that model number and order the parts from it.

Hi Mike,

I seem to have just had the same problem in the same unit; broken foot, so arcing.

Did you have any success? So far, my web search says we should try a low-loss dielectric insulator, whatever that is!

Chris
