Question Panasonic Quits After 30 seconds
Brand: Other
Model Number: NN T945SF
Age: 1 - 4 years

After setting the time and hitting start, the unit runs for about 30 seconds and turns off. The timer resets and the same thing happens when I try it again. It doesn't appear to be heating, even after I try it consecutive times. The display stays on and the clock works. The fan and the turntable operate until the unit shuts itself off. Since the unit is only 16 months old it shouldn't be failing now. Any suggestions? Thank you.

It could be the Mag Tube causing this, it will kick on run a moment then just go dead and reset, Another reason this happens is that the fan cooling the mag tube is not working so when it over heats it kills power to everything , normally on this the power will stay off for a short spell, Chances is its one of these 2 things!!!!

The actual timing should be 23 seconds. That's when the software detects a failure and shuts it down.

This is usually caused by a defective magnetron or a defective inverter.

If you get repeated inverter failure it's probably due to poor machine soldering on components that are large or that get hot during operation and you need to find a shop or a technician who will do actual board repair (component-level board repair) not just a board swapper.

I do that, by the way.
