 No Heat...Loud Humming...happened with last microwave. Brand: Maytag Model Number: MMV5165BA Age: Less than 1 year
Our microwave of 7+ years started making a loud humming sound and would not heat so we decided to replace with a new one instead of repair. It was a Whirlpool. The new microwave (Maytag MMV5165BA) worked great for one day and now is making the same sound (loud humming) and also does not heat. 1st I turned the breaker on and off. Next I plugged the microwave into a few different outlets all over the house using a long extension cord. Same humming...no heat. Is this just a coincidence that the same exact sound/no heat is happening to 2 microwaves in a row....OR could my original electrical connection have done something to each of the microwaves to create this damage? Please help before I call for service from Maytag. |
