When I try to use the microwave.. all the symbols for clock, nite light,...etc shows on the panel.. then message to set the clock.. I set the clock, day, month.. microwave resets.. but as soon as I try to use it.. it heats for about 3 secs and goes back to showing all the symbols.. repeat of steps gets the same results.. what should I do?

It is likely a faulty in the control board and it will have to be replaced.

It could be a crack in the board and as soon as the microwave start to run the vibration breaks the circuit.

If you set the time and don't use the microwave will it stay in the display?

Can you please check your model number?

The model number is usually on the frame of the microwave where the door closes.

Thank you ..for your rsponse.. The clock does stay on, the nite light works, the timer works, the model is EM03000HSS03 Manuf 2005.. I purchased Nov 2005.
