I have a Sharp Carosel Microwave. The turntable is barely moving and makes a loud groaning noise. If this something I can fix or should I just buy a new one? I did take the turntable out of the unit and inspect the plastic plate holder and as much as I could see in the hole where the plastic thing sets. Nothing looks broken or worn to me. Please advise.

It sounds like a faulty turntable motor.
