Default Microwave turntable coupler
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JE635WC 03
Age: Less than 1 year

I ordered a replacement coupler (part # PS255273) for this oven, but it doesn't fit. It slips over the metal stem or drive shaft that sticks up from the bottom of the oven, but it spins around loosely on that shaft. The hole in the bottom of the coupler has a straight side, but the oven's shaft/stem seems to be perfectly cylindrical -- no straight area. Also, the coupler hole seems too wide for the shaft.

Is there another part I need? some kind of sleeve or something, that will fit onto the drive shaft, and then the coupler would fit snugly and properly onto that sleeve? Or could the model number or part number be wrong? Thanks for any advice!

Do you still have the old coupler?

There may have been a piece inside it that goes on the motor shaft.

There are no other parts listed on the breakdown.
