Exclamation Microwave Repair
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JE1590BC001
Age: 5 - 10 years

Lights dimmed, craclkling noise, no power- all else seemed all right. took unit apart and immediately saw burned hi-volt trans. determined it to be hi-volt winding to hi-v capacitor, Winding to magnatron appears ok .2ohms--open to case. Magnatron cop 102 micro f with flk 81438-no specs. Found hi-v diode open circuit! what effect? Have trans on order-no diode. What are diode specs-maybe can buy local? What caused trans burn/What else needs checked before insalling new parts and testing??
