The microwave appears to do everything but heat. When you press start, the timer counts down and the light is on inside but no heat. What could this be and is it costly to repair.

if u hear the deep hum sound that is your transformer, if that is on than u will need a new cooking mag tube. jpg

This could possibly be a door switch, I had this problem repaired last week on a Sharp micro-conv. combo
