Default Microwave - No sound
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JE1550GW 002
Age: 5 - 10 years

We have a GE Microwave which still works fine but has lost the sound module. When we use the oven it gives us the message that there is no sound. Is there a replacement unit that will resolve this issue?

Did you checked the settings you have made? Have you set the sound mode as "mute"? I too have GE model and it doesn't make any sound as i had set the volume level as "zero". Just check your settings...

Default MicroWave - No sound

Thanks Alan but yes I have checked the volume. I actually get an error message that there is no sound. Everything else works fine. I spoke with a GE rep yesterday and they thought it was a bad SmartBoard which is $230 to replace. For that kind of cost I can live without the sound.
