Default Microwave Keypad
Brand: Other
Model Number: R9400
Age: More than 10 years

First Post! Sorry, wrong website for that.

I need some help. I have a 30ish year old Sharp Carousel microwave. Model R9400. The keypad needs to be replaced. Some of the buttons are difficult to push as if the conductive back has cracked. I've googled the make and model and I'm not coming up with many hits. I doubt that I'm going to find a replacement keypad for it.

Can someone point me in the direction of where I can get my hands on some conductive sheeting or are do you have any ideas on a work-around. I'm not looking at replacing it since everything works fine except some of the keys.

Thanks,
TW

Here is a toll free number for Sharp
1-800-237-4277.

They should be able to help you find the part for your microwave if it is still available.

Hi,

1. It is possible to buy conductive paint that can be used to repair worn keypads. It does mean you have to be able to disassemble the unit.
2. I am looking for door parts for this model. If you are junking it please contact me.

It was a great microwave!
