Default Microwave heats unevenly
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: MW8650XR0
Age: More than 10 years
My microwave oven has suddenly started heating food unevenly and very slowly. A bowl of soup used to take 1.5 min, now it takes 3 times longer and ends up getting burnt around the perimeter. The center of soup still remains relatively cool. Any suggestions?

You have a blower which blows the microwaves evenly around the cooking area. If it fails you will have what you describe. This diagram shows the fan and the location. number 26. Whirlpool MW8650XR0 Parts List
