This is an over the range microwave. It still heats right, but it makes a howling sound. About a week ago the problem began by, when microwave is turned on, it sounded like a fan that normally runs wasn't running. After it ran for a while, it seemed to sound right. Now it has progressed to the howling sound.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Check the wheels on the turn table.

Sometimes food will get around the wheels and they will howl.

Clean and try.
