Question Microwave Capacitor arching
Brand: Other
Model Number: DMO226
Age: 5 - 10 years

Microwave stopped working - it seems over time it became less efficient in heating food. I have noticed arching between connectors on the capacitor when start button is pushed on control panel. Fuses intact and there is no evidence of loose wires or burnt components.
Question: this arching caused by a defective capacitor or is it magnetron related ?

I am not sure. I usually had to replace my microwave when something like this would happen.
