Default Micro wave ovens
Brand: Other
Model Number: Sharp R-4A52
Age: More than 10 years

One of the high votage diodes in a sharp R-4A52 microwave oven has got diode symbols on the package showing to diodes connected back to back one small one large , two connections only ). Ive tested it using a 15 volt power supply & 200 ohm 4 watt resitor in series with the postive lead ( usual test procedure ) & came nearly zero volts on the multimeter , even when i switched leads on the diode. Iam sure the diode is dead ( then again i could be wrong ). so the questions are : why the double diode symbols & is it really dead . cheers from slug
