Default Low sensor diag. value, F5 error.
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FMT148GPB1
Age: 5 - 10 years

Frigidaire FMT148GPB1, 5 years old - occasionally shuts itself off with error F5 on the display when using automatic modes Reheat, Beverage, etc. More often than not, the oven works fine.

After the abnormal shutoff, the sensor diagnostic value (press 7 & 8 on keypad) reads 5 or below. Value when oven hasn't been used for awhile ranges from 22 to 37. I suspect that the gas sensor (Electrolux PN 5304408945) is on its way out, but at $150+ for a new one, I don't want to assume anything.

Questions are: What is the normal range of readings for the sensor? Is there any way of testing the sensor, other than through the keypad diganostic? I'm an engineer/tech, so opening the unit to perform troubleshooting isn't a problem.

Sorry I do not have any technical information on this unit.

You may want to call Frigidaire at:

USA 1-800-599-7569 or Canada 1-800-213-9398.
