Hi there,
Our Kitchenaid convection / microwave oven is a built-in model that is in combination with a Kitchenaid conventional / convection oven. Last night when my wife attempted to use it (last time it was used was in the early AM) she put in a cooking time and pressed the start button - instead of starting the cooking cycle, the word "DOOR" appeared on the information display screen. The oven is totally inoperable. The information display screen shows the time, etc., but when you program it to cook and press start, the "DOOR" code appears. We are stumped about what this means - any ideas? Also, the internal light will not illuminate when the door is opened. This is NOT usual.

Final bit of information, last month we had to replace the magnetron and two transformers on the same unit.

Any insight on the DOOR problem is most appreaited before I call the service company and bite the bullet again.
