Did it work after he first replaced it. If so, there may be a problem causing the fuse to blow.

Default Kenmore microwave

It has worked fine for the last 4 months, but last week just stopped heating completely.

There's not a lot you can do in repairing a microwave without the training. But I would check the fuse again(could have just worn out quick). Make sure it's the right size and make sure all wires and clips with the fuse are tight. Look for a reset button.

Thanks, Is there a manual that gives details of where the fuse and reset button are located. The manual I have is pretty basic.

In this parts list you'll see fuse holder-diagram reference # 5103. click on see diagram and find that part. It looks like its connected to or behind the fan housing.Welcome to the Parts Store

I didn't see a reset button but if it has one it should be accessible with out taking cover off.
