A couple of days ago one of the lights on my over the range kenmore elite ultra-wave microwave exploded. After that, the other light would not work, but the microwave worked fine. Yesterday I bought replacement bulbs and had to use a pliers to take out the light bulb pins (from the exploded bulb). Unfortunately, I did not unplug the microwave before doing so, and got a quick flash from that outlet - i would have had a shock too, but was using rubber coated pliers. Now the microwave itself is not working.

Is this an internal fuse problem on the microwave, or did I fry the circuitboard? Any ideas?

Hopefully you just took out the fuse.

The fuse should be located behind the grill above the door.
