Default Insufficient Heating
Brand: Caloric
Model Number: MWT 366 1001
Age: More than 10 years

My Caloric microwave works, but it takes about 2x the required time to cook/heat food. I tried the class of water test but it takes a while for it to boil. Since everything appears to be functioning correctly, could it be a bad capacitor, weak fuse or something simple? The power level 1 - 10 works - the only thing funny is an intermittent groining noise when it is operating. I would buy a new MW, but the new ones are deeper and higher than this model and would protrude too far out and too far down. Thoughts?

It takes about 3 minutes to boil a cup of water. I was told it should take 2 minutes, so it "appears" it is running 50% longer to cook posted times. Weak transformer or magnitron?

Default Opinions on Frigidaire FMV157GC?

This is the closest size-wize to my current unit. Most other units are deeper and hang lower. This one is 153/4 H x 15.03 Deep. I can't find any reviews on the WEB as to problems/reliability. I'm assuming most MWs use the same common parts. Most problems I see on this board deal with loss of power, goop between glass panes and broken handles. I believe these are universal problems across all brands.
