For a few weeks the oven has sometimes worked, sometimes not. No pattern that I can recognize. Now it seems completely dead. Lights are on, timer works, but it will not heat. I have tried unplugging; no effect. The unit was manufactured in 1900 (ser # HD 912 3878). What do you suggest? Thanks. rs

It is likely the magnetron or the transformer.

The cost of repair would like be more than a new microwave.
