Default GE spacemaker XL flashing "F3" and not working
Brand: Please select
Age: Please select

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of the blue this started. First it flashes "reset clock" then the "F3" signal. It is getting electricity b/c inside light comes on but keypad does not work and microwave doesn't come on. We did lose power for a short while the other day but the microwave worked for a day or so before this problem started. GE said to try to reboot it - we have (unplugged it for a minute and then plug it in) and it doesn't work. It is spacemaker XL - (manuf. Feb2000) Model# JVM132OWBOO2. Thanks for any help! Maureen

Thanks for the reply, Tom. I couldn't figure out how to get a hold of you on your website. My mic is 8 years old - is it worth replacing the sensor you think? Maureen

Microwaves are so cheap, and it is 8 years old, I would consider a new one. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Not sure if it is too late, but I had same F3 and a number of pads stopped working. I opened up pad and disconnected and reconnected all the ribbon connectors. Everything came back to life after that. WARNING: Disconnect power and wait for capacitor to discharge before starting work.
