Lights turn on, clock working, turn table turning and everything all seems to be working except for it is not heating. I'm guessing the magnatron is bad, but I am having a hard time finding the part for less than the cost of replacement of the microwave. I would hate to throw the whole thing away for something that could be such a simple fix.

Any opinions or ideas?

If your microwave is less than a year old it should be under warranty.

The magnetron usually have a five year warranty.

Check in your owners manual for warranty and your nearest service outlet.
