Default Door Handle Replacement
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: SCA1001FSS01
Age: 1 - 4 years

The door handle on the microwave broke off. I ordered a new replacement handle from the site here but did not get any directions on how to replace.

The door is completely sealed, with no screws anywhere to get to the handle. How do I get to the door handle screws to repair?

Thanks for your help in advance!

I removed the inner plastic trim where the hooks come out of and I was able to remove the top screw. How do you remove the bottom screw. There seems to be a complete metal trim that is blocking me from getting to the screw. Thank you in advance for your advise. Tony O.

I am having same problem. There are 2 screws on top and bottom of handle. 1 set of screws can be removed by removing the plastic piece around the glass on the inside of the door. The second set of screws are behind the metal door frame. It appears the front plastic door piece (door-A) must be snapped off the metal door frame. I can't figure out how to get the cone shaped fastners top& bottom removed without breaking them. Any help would be appreciated!

Default Handle broken too

Can you tell me which handle you ordered?
I have the same microwave and broken handle issue.
Also, did you ever receive instructions on replacement and if so can you email or reply to the posts here.

Thanks
