Default Does not heat
Brand: Maytag

All the power elements ie fan, lights, clock etc. work correctly, however heating does not occur. I suspected one of the door interlock switches but all test OK with an ohmeter. It seems like the magnetron or it's transformer may have failed. If you concur what is the approximate cost to replace the faulty component?

Hello - not sure if you ever got an answer but the magnetron will run between $70 and $120. I have a similar Maytag and got one online for $78. And the first thing to check is the magnetron as you guessed. I have not checked prices for transformers. If you have a service tech do the job, expect around $250 - $300.
