Remove screws from control panel and tilt down. Turn on microwave and get it to cook. Check for 115 volts at the pc board relay feeding the high voltage transformer. If there is none, you will need to replace the control panel. If voltage, you may have a bad door interlock switch or flame sensor. Check schematic for the wiring to the high voltage transformer.

well i tried testing at the relay that had one red wire going to the transformer, and didnt get any reading, so i tested were the wires go into the transformer and didnt get a reading there either, (i hope i was doing it right) so i guess i need a new control panel. i suppose buying just the relay is out of the question? shouldnt this control panel last more than 1.5 years?

Same problem, a blown relay on control board.

If the coil in the relay is good and no burn marks on relay, it's probably good, just other problems with control board.

it was the door switch. $20 did the trick.
