Default Disable loud beeping ?
Brand: White-Westinghouse
Model Number: WW700
Age: 5 - 10 years

Just wondering if there is an easy way to disable the beep in this microwave. When it's finished heating something, and the timer is down to zero, then it beeps loudly four times. Then every four minutes, if the door had not yet been opened, it beeps again four more times at the same loud volume.

The beeping does not does not bother me too much but for the sake of my neighbors, whose bedroom is only a few feet away from my kitchen, I'd like to get rid of the beep. I don't care if all beeping goes away such as the quieter beeps when the key pad buttons are being pushed.

As far as I can tell there is no feature in this model which allows you to program through the keypad the commands which disable the beep. So it seems like something more drastic is required such as cutting a wire to the beeper.

Thank you.

The buzzer is part of the printed circuit board and can not be disabled.
