Model Number: wards 8284
Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a wards 8284 combination microwave/convection oven. The microwave hasn't worked for years but the convection works. It started shutting off after 2-3 minutes(cooking time 30 minutes i.e.). If I hit start it will run for another 2-3 minutes then stop.

It could be a sensor.

Sorry I don't have any information on Montgomery Wards appliances.

You will have to look in your manual and see where there is an authorized service depot.
