Question Burning and smoke
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: MCD11E3W
Age: 1 - 4 years

My husband set the timer for too long trying to melt some chocolate. The result was burning and lots of smoke. At first there was a slight crack in the glass turn table, which now extends almost across the whole tray.
Before replacing the turn table, could this burning have damaged something in the oven that we're not aware of?
So far the microwave works fine. It is just over a year old.

No the table is likely the only thing that was damaged by the heat.

If the microwave is still working it did no other damage.
