Default Advantiumn 120 Convection oven..
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: SCA1001HSS01
Age: 1 - 4 years

It has quit heating.. The micro part of the system... I think it's th Megnetron tube.. I have found direction on where it is located but how safe is it to remove and replace... All else in the Adventium is working just not mircrowaving at all..

Generally, the most common causes of a failure to heat are:

- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem or loose connection on the control unit circuit board
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part (such as a shorted diode)

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: Appliance Parts From PartSelect | Repair Parts For Major Appliances.
GE normally warrants the magnetron for about 5 years or so. They may cover it under warranty.
