Angry Absolute Humidity Sensor?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MMV5207AAW
Age: Please select

My 3 year old, over the range, Maytag Microwave went on vacation.
We were cleaning the inside of the microwave by,
boiling a bowl of water in the micorwave for a few minutes,
to soften up the crud.
When the digital clock cook timer hit all zero's,
all power on the microwave went out.
I first checked the breaker----up and running.
2nd I plugged my drill into the microwave outlet----all systems go.
Next, I changed out the 250V 20A fuse above the keypad,
behind the grill----nothing doing.
Since we were boiling water, could it be the Absolute Humidity Sensor?
Or is there another possibility?
Is there something as simple as a reset button?
All help will be appreciated,
Thanks.

It was most likely the humidity sensor.

You can check it for continuity with an Ohm meter.

Here is a link to your microwave model MMV5207AAW.

Smile Thanks

Thanks a lot,
I kinda figured that was the problem.
I checked the diagram and couldn't find the absolute humidity sensor.
Do you know what the part number would be for the sensor?
Do I have to buy a larger part that has the sensor in it, or can the sensor be purchased seperately?

The sensor is number 7 on the breakdown I have provided in the other post.
