Default Whirlpool dishwasher blades won't turn

I've got a Whirlpool gold dishwasher and both of the blades aren't turning to clean the dishes. The water fills and dispenses from the top blade, but nothing else.
I don't have the model # with me here at work, but am wondering if it could be a belt (if it has any), or a relay switch????
I bought it new a couple of years ago and haven't had any issues until now.

Your dishwasher does not have a belt.

There may be that something is blocking the impeller.

With your model number I will be able to see what type of motor set up you have.

My model # is GU1100XTLB1. I took all hoses and impeller assembly apart and cleaned. It looks as if the water goes in okay, but not enough pressure to turn the bottom and the blades under top rack.

Check the check valve and see if it is seating properly.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GU1100XTLB1.

It could be that something dropped into the sump and is laying across the foreign object plate causeing you to lose enough pressure to not turn the spray arms.
