Default Very noisy on spin- Maytag SAV5401AWW

Just went through that with my Maytag washer. (See my post of 11/02/07) Only 4 years old with light use. The seals and two main bearings went bad. There is a parts kit to repair this noise problem, WHI W10116791 $60 and the lower Bering WHI 40004001 $15. If your handy with tools, not a bad job to fix but Maytag wanted $300 + with the parts still under warranty!!! so did it myself with the help of the schematic on this web site and the instructions that came with the parts kit. "Back a washin" Maytag now refuses to give me warranty on the parts as I'm not a authorized repairman. After the first year the warranty program is worthless as cost of repair exceeds the value of the washer. Not saying this is what's wrong with yours but sure sounds like it. Good luck
