Default TV powering on off, changing channels on own

Hello,
I have a 32in flat screen RCA that turns on and off on its own, and also channel surfs----like it's possessed! Is plugged into a battery back up power supply, tried unplugging and plugging into plain power strip. Only temporary fix before it acts up again.

Any suggestions?

This could be cause by a neighbors remote for his garage door opener.

The frequency could be the same.

This has happen to people I know.
