Default Sunbeam water cooler

I have a Sunbeam water cooler (hot and cold) that is about five years old. The hot water tab broke off so now we can't get any hot water. I haven't had any luck finding a replacement part. The model number is YLR2-5-87H3. Any advise?

With most of these coolers there are no parts available for them.

If you still have your owners manual there should be a list of your locale service centers.

The other place to look is in your yellow page.

Default Info for Sunbeam replacement Red Knob

The same thing happened to my Sunbeam water dispenser...not once but 3 times the red handle on the hot water has broken off! Through much research I learned that Sunbeam contracts out to the Elite Group Company to manufacturer their water dispensers. You can call them and they will mail a new red spout. You will need to have the model number of your unit. You can find it on the back of your dispenser. The cost is $5.00 plus shipping. I just bought 2 more...and extra for back up as I know it will break again! Here is the company information:

Elite Group
555 Chabanel St. West, Suite 700
Montreal, Quebec
Canada H2N 2J2
(877) 383-6399

Hope this helps!

We just bought a Sunbeam water cooler from Home Depot. It was the last one they had and it did not have any paper work with it. Just the unit with out a base.
Is there any way to audjust the temp on the cooler or the heater?

Default Setting Temp

Uncle Dean...without knowing what model you have I can only go by the one I have. On mine there is a blue and red button on one side of the cooler that you turn on. On the other side is a dial knob to set the cold & hot temps. Call the number I left in my last post and ask them to send you the manual for your model. I do know that some models do not have the temperature adjustment feature. Hope this helps.

Thank you, I called the Elite Group and gave them my model number of YUR2-5-67H3. They told me about the set screw on the back of the unit. I am to turn off the unit and turn it all the way to the right and let it set for an hour then with at lest 12 glasses of water in the unit I am to turn it back on and let it set for 1/2 an hour then turn the screw back to the left tell I hear the compressor kick on. This should bring the cooler on line.
I also found out that they have a new address:
Elite Group
1175 Place Frere Andre
Montreal Canada, H3B3X9
1-877-383-6399

Thank you again
Uncle Dean

I just broke the hot water tab (the safty level plastic cracked) on my Oster Hot / cold water dispenser. model # YLR2-5-24H2 Oster and Sunbeam are the same company. I can not find any list for parts...
Please let me know if there is a Oster / Sunbeam parts supplier. even the manufactures web pages have no reference to water coolers as part of the product line.

thanks TOS

I would call the Elite Group at 1-877-383-6399, and talk with a service rep. They seemed to know how to get things done. Give them your model # and tell them what you need.
Let me know how it goes.
