Default Stand Mixer not mixing dough

I have a 2 1/2 yo professional stand mixer model, KP26M1XPM, that we recently started using to make bread dough. It now is "squealing", "bogging down", ...when I attempted to mix the dough. It will continue to rotate if there is nothing to mix, but "grinds down" with resistance. Is this a worn gear? If so, how do I know which one?
Thanks for any helpful suggestions!

Default

If the mixer is squealing you may have a bearing that is going bad.

If a gear is going bad the only way to tell which one it is is to take the mixer apart.

Here is a link to your mixer model KP26M1XPM.

For a more complete breakdown of your mixer you will need the last digit of your model number.

psnowden, did you solve the problem? Seems like I am having the same issue. The rotary rotates but no power can't make the dough. My warranty expired and so i am looking to fix this by myself. I would really appreciate any help you can provide, thanks,
