Default Jenn- air stove top

Busy cooking on three burners, smelled hot wires! Noticed that the light that indicates burners are on, is hyper sensitive as if it has a short. cut off breaker and unhooked control box it seems unusually hot. anyone with a problem like this? wondering weather I need new box or what.

I fixed one of these. Water got into the wiring at the connector and partly shorted out. You will need to pull box apart and dry and order new insulator and pins.

I once had this problem and got my brothyer to just replace the box. It did the trick but maybe my problem was different from yours even though it sounds like it.

I had not heard of this happening. Did you have any luck getting it replaced or repaired?
