What tools do you have in hand to tinker with your appliances? I only have a set of screw drivers and some pliers. Honestly, I call for help when things become more complicated than tightening screws or snipping a few wires.

I have a cheap $25 tool kit that has a bit of everything, socket/screwdrivers/pliers/tape measure and what not. I call it the Mommy tool kit, cause mostly my wife uses them for stuff around the house to make her feel tough.

Well the only handy tools I have are the "repairmen" who come to the house. I don't trust my husband to fix anything because he is always rigging something up and I hate that. I want it the way it was originally - lol

I mean he used black rubber heater hose for a car as a drain tube on my washer

Hah! My short reply is, "I concur with everybody." LOL. I have a small set of regular tools, a few precision screwdrivers, a butter knife and a roll of duct tape, which I hide from my man to keep him from rigging things up. I like to ring the repairman. I don't much like paying for it, but if it's beyond a snap-on fit-together screw-in or bolt-on job, I'd rather someone else be making the insurance claim when it falls apart.

That's mighty resourceful! Maybe it comes with the territory. We take pleasure in seeing an insane idea work, regardless of aesthetics. Those repairmen also likes to rig things in their own homes.

Got myself 3 types of screwdriver, a wire stripper, pliers, and a cutter. Honestly, I don't use them much around electrical appliances as I've already busted my rechargeable drill, a fan, and my PC while tinkering with them.

Well if it works than whats the problem. You should be thankful that your husband is that resoruceful in the first place. Some people are just nitwits.

I have a little tool set with the basics, that I have to hide from my husband, because he isn't mechanically inclined in the slightest, yet feels compelled to tinker until he breaks it more than it already was. I also love duct tape.

I have a full toolbox that my brother envies (and borrows often) but I generally confine myself to hammer, screwdrivers and pliers. If it requires more than that it’s bet to let my brother do it.
