Default Grinder motor no initial start

I have a phillips mixer-grinder which started having a problem recently. The motor won't start when switched on. However with a slight initial turn the motor runs smoothly. Can someone advise how to repair this.

Hi... I am not that expert in this mixer. However, I know that motors that refuse to start then do after a slight initial turn would need replacing a capacitor connected between its leads. This capacitor looks like a box with two leads. If this is the case you will find it easily. Replace it with the same type and same value or a close one. Good luck.

Does it have motor brushes on it? If so your problem is likely just worn out brushes.
