My trusty 18 year old GE washer is screaking and moaning. Lets buy a front loader washer. They cost a bundle. Will a 3.5 drum size washer last better than a 4 drum?
A 3.5 drum is $600 and a 4 drum in $1000+, thats a huge diff, And I worry about the strain on the motor and bearings.

Any suggestions on best models, cheaper parts. I saw a Whirlpool. that .looked strong and Bosche, LE , Maytag , GE seemed less strong. Samsung? What do you think in a good model? SC
