Unhappy Electric fire on the blink

hi can any1 help me as my electric fire has gone on the blinknow i have been told the fan has an intermttent fault but can some 1 tell me how to fix this

what happens is if i knock the fire on the fan and bars both come on but go off after five seconds

any help be much appreciated

Hi ... It depends on the type of your device. Some do have overheating sensor that might have gone bad. Or maybe there is a problem with the fan, which would cause overheating (inside the heater) you can check it through feeling the air flow. Or it might be a loose heater wire that loses connection as your heater warms up. But be carefull. Good luck,
