Default Crosley Dehumidifier Parts

I have a Crosley dehumidifier, model # CDH40M-04 ( Maytag CDH40M-04 ) that is having problems. The unit runs fine (dehumidifies, condenses, etc). However the unit won't stop running and eventually the coils completely freeze over and turn into a solid block of ice. What part do I need to purchase to fix this problem?

Thanks!

BTW I ordered a washing machine timer from you guys a month ago and I have to say I was very happy with the service I received from your site. The advice was spot-on and I fixed the problem with my washer with the part that was recommended. Thank you!

It could be the humidistat or the frost control.

Here is a link to your dehumidifier model CDH40M-04.

I only see a Humidistat listed as a part that can be purchased (part # PS55306
HUMIDISTAT (Series 10)). Is the frost control also part of this humidistat or has that been omitted from the diagram?

It appears that part of the parts break down is missing.

Here is the part number for the defrost control Ps55473.

Is there a way to test to see which of the two components is bad? The humidistat is almost $60 and the frost control is almost $40 so I'd prefer to purchase the right one the first time.
