Default Convert kitchen aid 110 volt to 220v

Hi,
I bought my stand mixer mod. number KP26M1XNP.
I have to move to Italy, and i have a question,
How i can use it with this different power ? (italy use 230 volt 50 hz).
I prefer buy a motor (and all other is necessary) instead use a trasformer.

Could you help me ?

Many thanks

They don't make this mixer with a 230VAC option, so its not voltage convertible via internal wiring. That means there also is not a 230VAC motor and control board available for it. Your only option is a step down transformer.

On most things, going from 60-50Hz isn't too big of a deal, this has a speed control board for the motor though and dropping down to 50Hz could possibly present a problem for you as well. Page 5 in your owners manual on this says 120VAC 60Hz ONLY. I'm pretty sure by saying "ONLY" there like they do that they probably mean this for a reason.

Sure would be nice if global voltages and frequencies were standardized. These run from $199-$539 USD. By the time you pay to ship it there, pay for a step down transformer big enough to handle its amp draw, and hope that the 50Hz isn't going to be a problem it seems like it would be easier to just sell this one here in the US and buy another one once you get over there.
