Thumbs up Cleaning your appliances' exterior

Product plug!

I have found *nothing* better for getting stuff and gunk off of my appliances - particularly the refrigerator - than the Arm & Hammer Magic Eraser.

Odorless, effortless, chemical-less cleaning. It's amazing. It removes magnet marks, spaghetti fingerprints, grease spots, even old water based paint.

The only drawback I have noticed about it is that it seems to leave a thin white film on surfaces that ought to be shiny. A quick buff with Windex or even plain vinegar/water takes care of that.

As a side note, these lil' gems work GREAT to get stuff off of computer/monitor cases, too. Ever been gifted with a monitor thick with nicotine stain? The Magic Eraser will get it gone. I clean my shower stall with it, too; it buffs through soap scum quicker'n anything.

And no, I'm not a media plant for Arm & Hammer. I just like sharing good news.

Hummnnnnn, magic eraser huh? No caustic component? Just baking soda, like everything Arm and Hammer? Have to try it. Might be the answer to my prayers. Thanks.

You know it is funny you mentioned this magic eraser. I thought it was a gimmick but I had some scuff marks on my white ceramic tile and I was shocked at how nice they were afterwards.

So I figured if it works so nice on those, why not try it on the fridge. My fridge is kinda old and had black marks on it and amazingly, it took away all the marks.

After I cleaned up that fridge, I used it to wash the scuff marks in my kitchen closet. The walls were painted white and nothing kept them clean.

I thought it was a gimmick, too, when I first saw it advertised. I am very skeptical of anything that's all over TV commercials. Someone on a forum (go figure) sung its praises for getting kid scuffmarks off of linoleum and light switch covers, and I had a coupon from the local paper (not that they're all that expensive anyway) so I got one and was instantly in love. I keep boxes of them around the house for all sorts of cleaning projects.

Zapped, indeed, that no-caustic-components thing is pretty sweet. Not only do I not have to breathe fumes, my nine-year-old with super-sensitive skin and numerous allergies can help me clean house with no discomfort.

OK I'll stop my one-woman campaign now. Heh. If you haven't tried these things, you needta.

I stand by Simple Green. I learned about it in USMC boot camp. Its non toxic and cleans like a son of a gun. You can literally drink the stuff and it wont kill you. Plus its used as an engine degreaser.

I use the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I love it. They have several different varieties out anymore. I have also found that clorox wipes work well in the kitchen when something gets spilled on the front of the stove or the refrigerator.

I love the magic eraser! It brought up decades' old scuff marks and even paint from my stairs, not to mention my budding artist's work on the walls.

I've used the Simple Green, but will have to give Arm & Hammer a try.
Thanks.

I just noticed that Walmart has a generic Magic Eraser out now. If you want to give them a try, they are only about $2 per pack.

I am going to try the Arm & Hammer Magic Eraser too. I like that it does not have a lot of harmful chemicals in it.
