Cool Water leaking from reset button

In Sinkerator Model 5-75

After using disposal, water leaks from red reset bottom. I did an experiment this morning after finding water in the cabinet. Fill up both sinks with stoppers. Run water on disposal side and open both stoppers while turning on disposal. Water SHOOTS out red button, then drips until fully drained.
Looks like pressure is forcing the water out. Is there an o-ring or something to replace? I have never disassembled a disposal.
Perhaps it would be easier just to replace?

Default

If the disposer is an older model it is likely better to replace it.

This would depended on the cost to repair the unit.

You would have to contact a locale parts supplier.

Can you please verify your model number?

Make sure it is the model of the disposer not the motor.
