Default Sinkmaster disposal with slow leak

I recently disassembled my Sinkmaster Whirlaway 191 when it jammed, and successfully cleared the jam, but now it leaks (very slowly) around the gasket where the upper and lower halves join (just above the turntable, joined by four screws). The original gasket was slightly distorted, but seemed to be intact, so I applied instant gasket compound when I reassembled it. Despite that, water still seeps from between the two halves.

I can't seem to find any place that sells a replacement gasket, however. Any pointers? Or did I overtorque the screws, or . . . ?

Default

Take the unit apart and make sure that there is no dirt then reassemble.

You may have to let the gasket compound dry for awhile. Make sure you read the instruction.
